Fun In The Sun!
Hello everyone! Welcome back to my blog.
This week seems to have flown by with so many things cropping up that require my attention. My older son, Zachary, is graduating in May with both his high school diploma and his AA degree, so I’ve been busy starting to prepare for his big day! I’m over the top proud of this kid, as I am for both of my boys! We’re planning a celebration for him. Additionally, he’s going on a 10-day trip to Europe as a graduation gift from his grandmother and me. We have been saving and planning for his trip all year. Meanwhile, my younger son, Evan, is going on a five day cruise with a friend In June to celebrate his friend’s graduation. There’s so much to organize and get ready for these kids!
When do I get to go on a trip to an awesome place ??? 🤨
With all these events on the horizon, I can’t help but wonder when I’ll have the chance to keep focusing on my business and make some meaningful progress. I have been putting in quite a few hours every day, and some days, all day, to try to get caught up lately. Don’t get me wrong; I will continue making the time. All I’m saying is it is going to get a little stressful with everything coming up. That’s life though, right? I just need to stay focused and everything will come together. Exciting times!
That’s the good thing with affiliate marketing: even if you have a very busy life, if you just put in an hour or two a day of productive time for your business, then you can make things happen.
Life Lessons
Recently, I’ve also been lending a hand to my elderly neighbor as he prepares to move to Orlando Florida. Seeing the challenges he and his wife face at this stage of life has underscored the importance of securing my own future. I’m so happy I’m able to help them with everything they have going on right now. His wife is wheelchair-bound and isn’t able to do anything for herself, so they went to a retirement facility to get the care they need for her. In the meantime, while they’re already there, I have been helping him with things here at his house to get it ready to sell.
With seeing how it can be challenging as we get older, I want to ensure that I’m financially stable and independent, sparing my children the burden of worrying about my well-being down the line. It’s yet another motivation for me to make my business endeavors a success.
Even though my son, Zachary, keeps threatening me that he’s gonna put me in a mental health ward, because he thinks I’m a little crazy! 😆 Just kidding…. Teenagers!
Another reason I really want my business to succeed is because of an incident that happened this week involving my son’s car. It seemed like it was time to trade it in and get a new one due to some issues he had the other day. His car is older, but he’s been able to handle most of the repairs himself, thankfully. The part he needs is arriving today, and we’re keeping our fingers crossed that once he installs the part, it’ll solve the problem because we’d prefer not to have to buy a new car. He’s managed to save up a considerable amount of money, but we’d rather not dip into it if we can avoid it.
When situations like this arise, I feel powerless to help as much as I’d like to as a parent. While money doesn’t buy happiness, it certainly eases the burden of dealing with everyday problems. That’s why building your business and following the process is important to do, so you can make that money to take care of the life events that come up unexpectedly sometimes.
Optimizing And Reviewing
This week I’ve been focusing on reviewing everything I’ve already accomplished to ensure everything is in its right place. Some times I have to review to refresh what I have already learned. That’s what’s great about the affiliate system because all the tutorials are always in there to look back on. After receiving feedback from one of my coaches, Sophie, I asked her to look over my funnel since I never asked for feedback after I completed it weeks ago. I’m glad I did because when I asked her to take a look at my funnel to ensure it was optimized for both PC and mobile viewing, It turned out there were a few adjustments needed for the mobile view, but thanks to Sophie’s guidance, it’s looking much better now.
Regarding social media and possibly create my first video, I must admit I wasn’t quite ready to take the leap this past week. I chickened out like I thought I would. 😂 I still have been exploring how different platforms work, contemplating what content to create, and building up the confidence to dive into my first video. It might take me a minute to get there. It’s a process, but I’m determined to do it!
One valuable lesson I’ve learned is the importance of feeling confident and positive about each step I take in my business journey. If you don’t have that confidence then it’s hard to succeed and move forward in a successful way. This is where proper training and seeking help when needed become crucial. While I haven’t been the best at asking for assistance in the past from my mentors, I recognize that as I dive into new aspects of my business, I’ll need to become more proactive in seeking guidance and I will be doing that more often now…
Needless to say, even though there hasn’t been a lot to report about my business this week. I was still very busy and accomplishing what needed to be done at this time. Like I said before, it’s always good to be proactive in your business so you feel very confident with your next steps, or you will have a problem succeeding in your business. I hope this was helpful for everyone today. I would say my blog post today was more life lessons than anything else.
What did we learn from my blog post today?
1. Always review and make sure you understand every aspect of your business before moving forward.
2. Always ask questions so you don’t get stuck and you know you’re doing things right.
3. Always follow the process, and it will happen for you!
Let me know what you think about today’s post. Leave a comment below. Look out for next week’s post! Hopefully, I will be closer to getting my first video out… Feel free to subscribe to my Free Newsletter so you don’t miss a thing, and you can follow my Linktree page here.
I hope everyone has a great week. Until next week!
To our success,
Congrats to your son on his graduation and to you for helping him get there and experiencing him grow and enter his nest chapter!
Doesn’t life have a way of getting so busy suddenly 🙂 sounds like you have it in control for the most part.
Your neighbor is so blessed to have you to help him, you’re an amazing neighbor!
I feel the same way about not wanting to burden my son in the future with having to help me too much.
all the best as you continue in your business and work through the challenges!
Denny
Hi Denny,
Thank you so much!
I am very proud of both my boys. Very good kids…
Life can be funny at times, but all we can do is laugh when it gets a little crazy…
I’m just so happy I can help my neighbors. They are good people, and I like to repay the favore.
My future and retirement is one of the reason why I got into affiliate marketing. I didn’t want my kids to worry about me as I got older.
Thank you for your comment.
Take care, ☺
Meredith
Dear Meredith,
I see others in our group have the same challenges surrounding life superseding the time we need to complete tasks needed to gain momentum in our business.
That’s why Dean always stresses “one hour.” It doesn’t seem like much but better than putting everything on hold. Also, that one hour gives a sense of accomplishment! And that in turn gives momentum a chance to soar!
Hi Kate,
I noticed the same thing…
Oh, I have no intention of putting things on hold just because life has gotten in the way… That’s life and you have to know how to deal with it. I’m definitely not one that will quit! I will keep plugging along, even if it means one hour a day (like Dean says to do).
Thank you for your comment though.
Take care,
Meredith
Hi, Meredith!
Congratulations on all the joy in your life! Your two sons sound like bright lights in your life!
I agree that I have to have a bright, cheerful outlook concerning my business to move forward.
If I feel bad, I need to get help so I can proactively act and feel good about it.
I wish you a bright week ahead. The next months sound like they will be great and memory-making!
Nakina
Hi Nakina,
Thank you so much!
I am really looking forward to the next couple of months..
It will be exciting for sure!
Take care,
Meredith
Congratulations to you and your sons for their accomplishments and upcoming trips! How exciting to be young and get to experience life! Your comments on Optimizing and reviewing are a very good reminder. We often get caught up in the now and forget to constantly strive to do better with our current tools. If our tools don’t work, we need to be courageous enough to get different or more tools for out toolbox! Best wishes!
Hi Ernie,
Thank you so much! I am happy for them both…
Yes,tools are good to have, and to remind ourselves to use them so we don’t forget what we’re doing.
It’s always good to look back to make sure you are on the right track.
Thank you for your comment..
Meredith
Yes indeed!! When will we get to have fun in the sun? I will remind you when we do. Our day will come.
It is good you can help a neighbor. That’s what life’s about; of course, you will consider whether we are doing everything possible to prepare for the future. Looks like you are doing that.
Your son sounds committed and responsible. He will succeed in his endeavors because these are key skills.
Yes, feeling powerless came up for me while I was doing my ‘why’ exercise but luckily as I dug deep, I discovered that that is not the end of the story! We are powerful and we can look back and see how far we’ve come.
I have also gone back to review my training to focus on the subtler messages that I may not have heard the first time as I was engaged in understanding the activity and I am getting so much back.
Regarding social media, I have started and then paused TikTok as I realize I may need a bit of structure so am starting to create topics that I can talk about.
I did not want to wait so now I have no excuses. Instead, I must continue so that I can improve on what has already been done!
I am also reviewing my training to make sure I understand before moving forward.
and I am getting better at asking questions, so am proud of myself and I continue to follow the process!
Thanks, Teach!
Hi Eleanor,
Yesss!!! I know we will have our day in the sun soon!
I am glad you were able to find your “why.” It’s always good to look back at what you have already accomplished, so it will give you encouragement that you can get through this dificult time. Simply, because you have come this far already. It is always good to notice this! Reviewing training is a good way to do that.
Don’t worry about social media. It will happen for you when the time is right. I’m just trying to get the confidence with everything, and understand everything before attempting social media. It will be a minute for me before I get involved with that.
I appreciate your comment Eleanor. Thank nyou very much!
You take care,
Meredith

Hi Atif,
Yes it has been a crazy week (weeks)! My summers are usually crazy all the time, let alone all the extra activities we will be having this summer.
I am very close with my kids, and trying very hard to keep them in line so they become good people in life.
Balance is the key to staying focused, and not wanting to pull your hair out of your head. It is hard at times, but I’m trying my best. It will only make me stronger as a person.
Thank you so much for your kind words.
Take care,
Meredith

Wow, you must be so proud of your sons. What fantastic achievements. You have had an incredibly busy week. I honestly don’t know how you manage to cram all the work into your business with all that going on. Good luck with dipping your toes into the video world. Come on in, the water’s lovely.

Wow, you’ve got a lot on your plate! Huge congrats on your son’s graduation, that’s such an exciting milestone! I’m crossing my fingers that he can sort out his car situation smoothly. Keep hustling in your business, and I’m sure you’ll achieve great success. It’s all about prioritizing what matters, even when life gets crazy busy. You’ve got this!
Sherri
Hi Sherri,
Thank you so much! I am very proud of both my boys…
To answer your question. YES! He was able to put the part in his car and it is running smoothly now!
He loves working on his car, and fixing whatever challenges that comes up.
I’m trying to just take one day at a time right now, and do what is most important at that time.
Thank you for your comment.
